Ivorian civil society platforms and development organizations, partners of CCFD Terre-Solidaire, met with the latter on 19 September 2018 at Inades-Formation, to discuss agricultural and land issues, share their experiences in advocacy and think about common advocacy strategies.
Strengthening the collaboration and refining the advocacy strategies of agricultural and land platforms in Côte d’Ivoire, partners of CCFD – Terre solidaire, was the objective of the workshop held on 19 September 2018 at Inades-Formation, on the initiative CCFD.
The workshop brought together the platforms ALERTE-Foncier, PANAFCI (National Action Platform for Family Farming in Cote d’Ivoire), the Convention of the Ivorian Civil Society (CSCI), the Coalition for the protection of the African genetic heritage (COPAGEN), and CONVERGENCE; organizations that all work on agricultural and land issues. As a member of three of these platforms, Inades-Formation actively participated in the workshop.
This workshop allowed the various participants to present their work on policy analysis and proposals. They also discussed on models of analysis and evaluation of development policies in the field of food security and think about the ways for Ivorian civil society to better monitor these policies.
Recognizing the obvious link between agriculture and land, the participants were pleased with this meeting which allows them to reinforce the dynamics of collaboration between them and to create a community of interest around the issues related to both fields.
