Since its establishment in November 2013, the National Committee for steering the celebration of the International Year of Family Farming in Burkina has initiated actions of communication and information with ministers in charge of agriculture. The goal was not only to raise the government’s participation in this celebration, but above all to encourage them to adopt policies and national strategies for the development of family farming. It is with satisfaction that the committee appreciates the commitments made by the government at the beginning of 2014-2015 agricultural campaign.
