The Coalition for the Protection of African Genetic Heritage (COPAGEN) held its 16th Regional Forum on June 14 and 15, 2023 in Conakry, Guinea.<\/p>\n

The overall theme of the forum was “Biodiversity and climate change: issues, challenges and prospects for sustainable food systems in Africa”.<\/p>\n

At the end of the forum, COPAGEN issued a statement expressing its opposition to the agro-industrial food system and the solutions proposed.
within the framework of this model to cope with climate change.<\/p>\n

The coalition calls on African leaders and regional institutions to play their part in protecting African populations, and on industrialized countries to assume their responsibilities.<\/p>\n
