The Inades-Formation Burkina association held its 29th<\/sup> Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the organization’s headquarters in Ouagadougou. The 2023 activity and financial reports were presented and discussed. Overall, the results were deemed satisfactory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 29th<\/sup> General Meeting of Inades-Formation Burkina was attended as usual by the members of the Inades-Formation Burkina association and the staff of the National Office. Around thirty people took part in this statutory meeting. Main items on the agenda: Review of the 2023 activity report, review of the financial report, review of the auditor’s report. <\/p>\n

Isidore Della, Director of the National Office, presented the activity report for 2023. Seven projects were implemented during the year by Inades-Formation Burkina. These projects are part of Inades-Formation Burkina’s four structuring programs: food systems based on family farming, resilience to climate change, community microfinance and inclusive governance.<\/p>\n

The financial report was presented by Oumar Ou\u00e9draogo, Administrative and Financial Manager at Inades-Formation Burkina. His presentation was followed by that of the statutory auditor, who stated that Inades-Formation Burkina’s financial statements were correct. As a result, the organization’s accounts were certified without reservation. Having judged the work of Inades-Formation Burkina to be satisfactory overall, the members of the Inades-Formation Burkina association, who took the floor at the end of the presentation of the various reports, did not fail to congratulate the Director of the National Office and his entire team on the satisfactory results achieved.<\/p>\n

During the general meeting, the Inades-Formation Burkina association welcomed four new members. They come from different backgrounds, but they are all focused on the goal of development for the common good. “These new members will make an important contribution to the success of our ideals,” says PCA Benoit Ou\u00e9draogo.<\/p>\n

A social movement for the common good<\/strong><\/p>\n

As usual, the 29th<\/sup> Ordinary General Meeting was preceded by a preparatory workshop held on Friday March 22, 2023 in the meeting room of Inades-Formation Burkina in Ouagadougou. The workshop was attended by some thirty people, including members of the Inades-Formation Burkina association and staff. The aim of this workshop is to encourage the creation of a social movement serving the common good. Two papers were presented. One focused on the notion of “Serving the Common Good” and the other on Inades-Formation’s working approach, which is the Stimulation et Accompagnement des Alternatives de D\u00e9veloppement au Service du Bien commun.<\/p>\n

After around an hour’s discussion of the content of the two complementary papers, participants were divided into groups to reflect on ways of building the social movement for the common good supported by the Inades-Formation network. Following the restitution of the group work and the ensuing exchanges, five people were appointed to form the committee that will continue the reflections for the launch of this social movement at the service of the common good in Burkina. The committee was presented the following day at the 29th<\/sup> Ordinary General Meeting of the Inades-Formation Burkina association. During the meeting, a member of the association was given responsibility for leading the reflections leading up to the celebration of Inades-Formation Burkina’s fiftieth anniversary in 2025.<\/p>\n
