Monitoring and evaluating the activities of the TAPSA II program (Transition to \"\"Agroecology for Food Security) in the Great Lakes region is one of the priority issues for the implementing partners. It was in this context that a mid-term monitoring mission was organized from May 15 to 24, 2024, in Bujumbura, Burundi.<\/p>\n

Facilitated by the CCFD-Terre Solidaire team and Agrarian Systems Consulting (ASC), partners Inades-Formation Burundi, \"\"ACORD-Burundi, CAPAD and UWAKI Nord-Kivu present the first data collected in the field as part of this operation, using KoboToolbox forms. Each of these partners formulated their theory of change at the start of the program, and this exercise was designed to test the initial hypotheses.<\/p>\n

The aim of this monitoring and evaluation mission is to analyze the data collected, \"\"to gradually take ownership of the monitoring tool, and to formulate the evaluative questions that will be put to beneficiaries in order to gain a better understanding of the needs in their territories and improve or adjust ongoing activities.<\/p>\n

It was also an opportunity to capitalize on the chain of animal solidarity, with all the players involved.<\/p>\n

Developing a participatory approach\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meetings are also intended to enable ASC experts to support UWAKI North Kivu in the formulation of its monitoring and evaluation system in relation to the main activities envisaged through the program.\"\"<\/p>\n

Clearly interested, ASC’s experts provided close support to TAPSA II partners, encouraging them to master the process of monitoring, evaluating, learning and measuring indicators for their activities.<\/p>\n

This exercise takes place before the end of the program’s 1st<\/sup> phase, scheduled for July 2024. \"\"The partners expressed their satisfaction with the approach used, which should enable them to improve their intervention methods and results reporting.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
