With this in mind, Inades-Formation Burundi organized mini-fairs as part of the <\/span> <span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype',serif\">Programme d&#8217;Agro\u00e9cologie pour la Dignit\u00e9 des Producteurs agricoles (PADIP), financed by Broederlijk Delen, on August 21, 22 and 26, 2024 in the communes of Busiga (Province Ngozi), Matongo (Province Kayanza) and Ntega (Province Kirundo) respectively.<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype',serif\">The aim of these mini-fairs was not only to identify holders of various traditional seed varieties, but also to encourage them to multiply, safeguard and perpetuate certain endangered varieties, notably hoffe, yams, eleusine and squash.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype',serif\">.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25375 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inadesformation.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_4577-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inadesformation.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_4577-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/www.inadesformation.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_4577-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 10pt;line-height: normal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype',serif\">Encouragingly, these fairs brought together representatives of the local administration, cooperative leaders, agricultural producers supported under PADIP, and other members of the surrounding communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;line-height: 115%\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype',serif\">During visits to seed exhibition stands, participants noted that their localities have a varied range of traditional seeds.
