BURUNDI: The Ambassadors of the European Union, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands accredited in Bujumbura visit the achievements of INADES-Formation Burundi.<\/b><\/p>

\"\"<\/b><\/p>

Promoting agroecological practices is an ongoing battle<\/i><\/b><\/p>

In Commune Giheta, Province of Gitega (central Burundi), \"\"on March 11, 2025, four Ambassadors honored the various achievements of INADES-Formation Burundi in the transition to agro-ecology. On Nyamugari hill, households benefiting from the TAPSAII project financed by CCFD and AFD warmly welcomed the mission. <\/p>

With the aim of building resilience and increasing agricultural production, these \"\"households demonstrated and explained the role and importance of agroecological practices to their guests.<\/p>

The practices promoted include (1) the use of biopesticides;\"\" (2) the production and use of NTABIZAWIMBURE<\/em> manure, commonly known as Bokashi; (3) the macro-propagation technique, which consists of rapidly multiplying banana shoots; and (4) the community solidarity chain for goats and pigs.<\/p>

\"\"Households have told the Ambassadors about the positive community changes brought about by the implementation of these practices. They are satisfied with their initial situation. For example, they are now able to cover their basic needs without too much difficulty. <\/p>

\"\"<\/p>

According to the beneficiaries, extending TAPSA to other communes in the country would be a strategy that would contribute to the gradual generalization of best agro-ecological practices on a national scale.<\/p>

The Ambassadors congratulated and encouraged the beneficiaries. Their determination and concrete results achieved towards the agro-ecological transition thanks to the approach and support of INADES-Formation Burundi are appreciable. <\/p>
