Objectives of the call for proposals
The call for proposals has the following objectives:
- Identify
at least 25 experiences that can be capitalized in each of the following areas:
- Experiences of practices relating to the adaptation of populations to climate change and/or the mitigation of its effects;
- Experiences of inclusive local governance enabling people’s resilience to climate change;
- Support
the capitalization of the selected experiences through the following means:
- The financing of capitalization works up to a maximum of 500,000 CFA francs per experience;
- Technical support for stakeholders with experience in the capitalization process;
- The publication and dissemination of the capitalized experiences;
- The participation of stakeholders in the exchange platform to be set up;
- The production and distribution of videos on the 10 best experiences capitalized.
Experiences eligible for capitalization
- Experiences/practices in climate change adaptation and/or mitigation
- Experiences in local governance for the development of mechanisms for people’s resilience to climate change
Lead actors/coaches3 eligible to apply for this call for proposals
The NGOs / development associations, research institutes, farmers’ organizations, agricultural cooperatives, craftsmen’s cooperatives, schools/academic institutions and individuals promoting local development;
Countries concerned by the project
Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Chad, Cameroon, DR Congo, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi and Tanzania;
How to submit your proposal
Send the experience presentation form (see point 5 in the TOR), along with the following administrative documents:
- A letter of expression of interest for the call for proposals (1/2 page max), with details of the field of experience/experiences to be capitalized,
- A document attesting the identity of the organization (approval or other document in lieu) or a Curriculum Vitae (CV) for individual applicants.
