The workshop enabled participants to validate the Alliance’s operating tools, in particular its strategic plan, which aims to strengthen community resilience to climate change and promote sustainable development. Participants also discussed strategies for implementing the Alliance’s activities and the actions required to achieve its objectives.
A pilot project for vulnerable groups
The pilot project for climate change adaptation initiatives by vulnerable groups, launched at the workshop, aims to strengthen the capacity of the most vulnerable communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change. The project will be implemented in several regions of Cameroon, with financial support from the Agro Ecological Fund.
A commitment to the future
Workshop participants expressed their commitment to working together to combat climate change and promote sustainable development. They also welcomed the initiative of the Alliance and the Agro Ecological Fund to support vulnerable groups.
The workshop to validate the operating tools of the Alliance of Organizations on Climate Change and Sustainable Development and the launch of the pilot project for climate change adaptation initiatives by vulnerable groups mark an important milestone in the fight against climate change in Cameroon. We look forward to the results of this pilot project and the Alliance’s future initiatives to strengthen community resilience to climate change.
