On Friday May 20, 2022, Inades-Formation, represented by the Secretary General Mr. Sena Kwaku Adessou and CERFAM, represented by Mr. Patrick Teixeira, Acting Director of CERFAM signed a partnership agreement.
The two institutions are committed to acting in synergy to produce and disseminate knowledge that can be used as sustainable solutions to the fight against food insecurity and malnutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. And this through joint research and technical assistance projects, the exchange of information on food security and nutrition, the strengthening of the capacities of the various governmental actors, the private sector, civil society and interregional institutions. in Africa.
According to the Secretary General of Inades-Formation, Mr. ADESSOU Kwaku Sena, “This partnership agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of #COP15Abidjan embraces the new way of working, desired by the Board of Directors of Inades-Formation, i.e. working in a more integrated and more coherent way in order to better support the African populations in their economic and social transformation, while ensuring actions to influence public policies, in particular agricultural and food policies and the right to healthy food, are included in it.
This agreement is operationalized by a joint work plan for the period from 2022 to 2023.
CERFAM (Regional Center of Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition) is a subsidiary of WFP, set up by WFP and the Ivorian government.
