From August 04 to 06, 2024, Bandjoun hosted a training session for partner organizations of the Pôle de Connaissances de l’Agriculture Biologique et l’Agroécologie en Afrique centrale (PCAC) project.
Organized by Inades-Formation Cameroun, the training was aimed at building the capacity of partner organizations to use the Knowledge Center for Organic Agriculture and Agroecology in Africa (CCAB) platform, a digital tool for the development of organic agriculture and agroecology in Africa.
During this session, three modules were delivered, namely : registering users on the Multiplier Network, downloading Knowledge Products and a general presentation of the platform’s functionalities.
A platform to serve the community
Marguerite MOMHA, trainer and focal point of the platform, emphasized the importance of this training, which enables participants to support their colleagues in mastering this digital tool. She also stressed the need to popularize the platform among organic farming and agro-ecology players and practitioners.
The CCAB platform, launched in October 2023, currently boasts hundreds of users. It comprises two main parts: the Database, for uploading content, and the Multiplier Network, for networking players and downloading resources.

An encouraging outlook
Jean Kana, a member of the Knowledge Promotion Team, suggested that incentives be introduced to encourage new users to sign up, such as the organization of competitions. In addition, he recommends ensuring the quality of content to increase the platform’s visibility in search engines.
This training marks an important step in the dissemination of knowledge about organic farming and agroecology in Central Africa. Thanks to the CCAB platform, players in this sector now have a powerful tool with which to share experiences, access resources and strengthen collaborations.
